They provide almost zero energy, after fossil fuel backup is considered and they kill wildlife. 100K birds a year just in Massachusetts alone.
No power and high maintenance and zero fossil fuel savings make them a terrible idea.
Wind turbines are good and bad for the environment, depending on your point of view and what is important to you.
They are good because the more wind energy we use the less fossil fuels we burn. Wind turbines don't pollute the air so they help our environment stay clean.
On the other hand they are bad because they kill lots of otherwise useful birds
Bottom line....they do not want to look at them. Those people believe they chose to live in the country for its landscape and they see the wind turbines as ruining this for them. Because they do not want to see them, they fictionally create things such as 'Wind Turbine Syndrome', which has never....NEVER....been diagnosed by a health physician of any kind in any country. The mind is a powerful tool, and if you hate something enough you can convince yourself that it is harming you.
The only thing these protesters can say regarding the wind turbines that is slightly true is that they cost quite a bit of money and not alot of energy is returned from this investment...but the important thing to note is that the government is not implementing this for it to be a good turnover on investment...it is the investment for a healthier earth with cleaner air for our children to breathe. They say 'put in nuclear plants instead, you get way more energy out of them', well a nuclear plant cost 26 Billion dollars to put in...so what really is the better investment? On top of that, what would you rather have in your community? A few wind turbines or a nuclear plant...hmmm.
there are wind farms all over the world
Wind farms generate electricity using the power of the wind. There are no polluting carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, such as are released from fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).
Because not many people pass gas! Idk next time pay attention in class!
Because wind direction is important for alot of things such as sailing, aviation and wind farms. I mean if the wind turbines couldn't face into the wind they'd be very ineffecient. Also if you have wildfires than its life or death if you know the wind currents.
Certainly. Whenever a wind blows from the north (i.e air moves southwards) that is a north wind, and so forth.
No. A wind farm is a series of devices which generate power from wind currents
Wind power is found in wind farms, producing electricity for everyone, people sometimes use the solar panels for saving the Environment but I think it's a good idea.
Wind farms were invented in Persia.
Offshore wind farms produce energy which is virtually emission free. After the initial expense of purchasing the wind farms, there are minimal costs involved in producing energy. Many people are opposed to offshore wind farms as they can ruin the view of the ocean and may cause noise.
wind farms are built to produce electricity through wind power
Lots of people become dero.
wind farms provide electricity. Wind farms cost more to maintain and construct than the energy that they provide. In addition they very inefficient because they only work when there is wind.
There are many wind farms in the world. Every country has its own set of wind farms. There is no such list for all the wind farms in the world. However you can go through the list of Top 10 Biggest Wind Farms in the world in the given link. http://www.power-technology.com/features/feature-biggest-wind-farms-in-the-world-texas/
