Many plants, called C3 and C4 plants, open their stomas during the day to let in carbon dioxide to instigate the process of cellular respiration. However some plants called CAM plants open their stomas at night. The main reason for this process is due to the physical environment the plants are located in. The majority of CAM plants are located in hot, dry and desert environments where water is scarce. As a result the CAM plants evolved so that they could close their stomas during the day and open them at night, to help retain water, at night the plants can still absorb CO2. Some examples of CAM plants are, cacti, pineapples, and aloe.
Plants breath through the stomata, which are tiny openings on the leaves. They breath the opposite of how humans breathe.
The opposite to breathing in
The opposite to breathing in
Not in the way you are probably thinking of breathing. They undergo photosynthesis, as they are plants, which means they absorb CO2. This is plants version of "breathing" .
yes almost every plants still grows even it is night it include in their process of growth because growing doesnt stop when it is already night still the plants reacts to the environment they are in because if plant stop growing when night falls come then by now i guess we dont have any plant they will die it's just like breathing when you stop beathing you will die. so the plant it doesnt mean that when it's dark it's stops it's process of growth no still it is growing
plants have an impact on your life by breathing and having oxygen..if it wasnt for plants then we would probably have a different breathing excersice.
plants
Why do plants need hormones that have the opposite effects
If something has ceased breathing it is dead.
As you breath in oxygen your body exchanges it for carbon dioxide which is the air you breath out. As you and all other oxygen breathing animals do that, the earths plants to the opposite they breath carbon dioxide and release oxygen. That is why it is important to protect the worlds plants. We need each other.
Plants respire all the time, but it can be seen better at night. This is because photosynthesis has the opposite chemical formula, and since there is light, more oxygen returned out, then carbon dioxide is taken in.
No. Plants have tiny holes in the bottom of their leaves that take in oxygen. Also, plants don't have lungs.
