Christmas given celebration date of December 25th in an attempt to convert Pagans to Christianity. Since the Pagan winter celebration is on Dec. 21-23, the christian leaders decided to place their holy day on Dec. 25 to make it easier to convert pagans to christianity. Everything from the tree to the holly and ivy is stolen from Pagan celebration rituals.

∙ 11y agoBecause it's a fact that Christmas has many things that have ancient pagan origins; in other words: 'non-biblical' origins.
You can do a search anywhere; in any encyclopedia, newspaper, on the internet; even ask your neighbors. Everyone else also knows about it; they just 'wink' at its significance.
Just because someone takes pagan celebration items, and tags them with Bible words, doesn't make it Christian.
For example, if I took a picture of Hitler with his swastika; and crossed out the word 'Hitler' and 'swastika', and replaced it with the words 'Christ' and 'cross' - - does that make the whole thing 'Christian'??? Of course not. Likewise with Christmas. Maybe that's why Jesus and the early Christians did NOT celebrate it either.
It's also like asking: Why don't Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Santa Claus? Simply because the whole thing is a lie. Others 'wink' at that FACT; but Jehovah's Witnesses consider TRUTH to be important. It's just the way we are with everything.
