Check your intake house it may have a whole in it....if it does and your not sure if you want to buy the whole hose......tape it over with electrical tape and see if it work and if it does get a new house....the tape only last for about a couple of house and also the location of the whole to makes it hard to tape.....but that's is what i found out on my jetta
The check engine light has to be reset with a OBD scan tool
I have a 99 jetta, and you are unable to check the transmission fluid on your own. You will have to take it to a service station where they will check it for you for free.
Have to have a computer OB VAT Tool or Volkwagen dealer only check. The other way is to check the fluid when the engine is warm . There is a plug on the side of the transmission pan.
Volkswagen Jetta's produced in 1996 do not have dipsticks. To check the fluid levels one will need to take out the speedometer sensor.
most likely check for a penny in the botton of it.
THERE IS NO TRANSMISION DIP STICK ON THE VW JETTA YOU HAVE TO BRING THE CAR INTO VW SERVICE. ONLY THEY CAN CHECK AND ADD TRANSMISION FLUID
There is no actual dipstick on the 1997 volkswagen jetta. The way to check the level is a little odd. Under the car on the drivers side of the engine behind the front wheel there is a plug. It can be pulled out and that is how you check the level. It is similar to checking a differential. You will need a funnel with extension hose on it to fill the fluid.
Is the light (check eng.... MIL on whening diag. says no MIL?
Easy, with the dipstick yellow handle in front of engine
It means look and check your engine, it needs care.
If the check engine light is on, there is a trouble code stored in the computer identifying the problem. What you need to do is have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. Have that done and then take it to a VW dealer to get them to fix the fault
The relay is located inside the hazard light button on the dash. There is an active recall on this part so you should check with your local Volkswagen dealer. I had mine replace for free.
