For no good reason!!! Smoking wires is never normal. This means that something is probably very wrong and the wires are getting very hot. Now you need to find what is making the wires overheat and that's where is can get tough. It can be a variety of reasons. For some reason the wire either can't handle the juice going through it and is breaking down or too much juice is going through it and is breaking it down. Take care of this immediately because it WILL cause a fire! It sounds as though you may not know a whole lot about cars but please listen! Don't drive the car and have it looked at immediately before it catches fire and hurts someone. Where there is smoke, fire soon follows!
Cut all the wires simulatenously
Because the wires in plug OR socket are loose and arcing.
An electrical short to ground.
Because of the heat/fire with electricity would start it to make/create a chemical reaction which would have it smoke.
That should be fine. The device that you use to connect the two wires should be approved for AL- Cu connections. If you are using a wire-nut then check that it is approved as there are some that are not. If it is a direct connect to the device via terminal screws then check the spec. sheet that came with the smoke alarm.
Hit it with a hammer...or disconnect the wires and reconnect them
U really should know that grill
it is probably a short circuit if it is dimming your lights. the smoke is burning insulation on the wires. it must be an wire that is not protected by a fuse. do you have an aftermarket stereo?
Elictrical fire or burnt out relay. Look for physical signs of fire, burnt wires. Where there's smoke there's fire
FR --> Fire Retardant FRLS-->Fire Retardant low smoke When ever wire gets fire Fr wire emit more smoke where as FRLS wire emits low smoke than the FR wires...
You probably blew a fuse. Check all of them and tape up all bare wires.
No, a short involves massive amounts of smoke, and usually glowing red wires.
