Why you need each food group ( these are not the legitimate food groups, but sometimes when you needs answer a question you don't know, these might be it) Fats : insulation/padding (to keep you warm/ idk). Carbs : energy. Fruits and vegetables : vitamins and energy (example for vitamins, Vitamin A : eyesight) Proteins : muscle and body features/ idk.

In short you don't.
There are essential amino acids, and fatty acids that your body needs for growth and repair, that it cannot manufacture itself, so protein and fats are needed. Vitamins, minerals and water are needed for the correct functioning of cells, growth and repair, ATP synthesis for energy etc..
Dietary fibre can be useful for digestive discomfort, though is not strictly necessary. Carbohydrates are not needed in a diet, their only use is as a source of energy.
