Why do your flashers come on when you use the turn signals on your durango?

Bad bulb or crossed wires somewhere. If it only happens, say, when you use the left turn signal, but not when you use the right turn signal, it's probably one of the left-side bulbs.

Check the fuses first of all. I think the Durango has two flashers as well, one for the hazards and one for the signals so it could be a bad flasher.

Turn the emergency flashers on and make sure that they are flashing at a normal rate of speed. Then turn your emergency flashers off and try one of your turn signals and it should work.

The Durango should be the same as a Dakota. Only one flasher for both signals & hazards. Located in fuse box on left side of dash. Look on inside of cover that you take off & it will tell the location. Usually at the bottom of the fuse panel
