Why does a 2000 intrique misfire when shifting into overdrive accelerate or shift down into 3rd and it clears mind you were dealing with very cold temperatures minus 8 degress f?

It's not a misfire, it's torque converter shudder, and sometimes it can be fixed with a fluid change or a chemical additive.
