There has to be a leak; anywhere from clutch to clutch cylinder. The most likely cause is that the master cylinder is allowing it past the seals. But it could be "sucked in" through the seals in the slave cylinder, or through a loose fitting. Note, however, that loose fittings may leak fluid noticeably. The cycliinders may be a bit more subtle in corrupting the system by allowing air in but not allowing much if any fluid to escape.
Broken clutch fork or hydraulic line if a hydraulic clutch.
You will need the Ford Hydraulic Clutch Quick Disconnect Tool.
A line in the clutch hydraulic system, specifically the only flexible one.
I need to replace release bearing in a 1995 Chevy s10 truck and need to know how to disconnect the hydraulic clutch line for the transmission.
how do you replace hydraulic line on a 1997 s-10
hydraulics work because fluids are considered a non-compressible material. therefore when you put your foot down on the clutch pedal it pushes the hydraulic fluid pressure through the line to disengage the clutch. if there is air in the line the air bubble will compress (gases ARE compressible) and you will feel a "spongy pedal" and you will have to "pump" the clutch pedal to move that air bubble down the hydraulic line before you get a "good" clutch
Most hydraulic clutch systems do have a bleeder valve.
To disconnect the clutch fluid hydraulic line from the master, drive out the roll pin holding the hydraulic tube to the master cylinder with a 7/64" punch. Have rags ready, as some fluid will be lost as line is removed.
My 2.3 is hydraulic Audis have a hydraulic clutch system, with a master cylinder (in car on firewall) and a slave cylinder (outside on transmission) with a metal tube between them (which looks like a brake line).
It is the same as the brake reservoir. You should see a line heading from that to the clutch master cylinder. Cheers.
if its hydraulic there could be air in your line. bleed your clutch and refill.
on the side of the transmission where the hydraulic clutch line goes in the trans there will be a white clip on the line push in toward trans with flat screw driver and it should just pop out that's after its pushed in all the way
