Engine idle is set too high , turn the idle down should take care of the problem
you need the fast idle adjusted on the engine you may have idle set where it sounds fine in idle but not high enuff when dropped in gear.
No, you may have to check your idle. You can change the idle so when you put it into gear it will not die. You must make sure that the engine is warm when you adjust the idle or it may make it hard to start when the engine is cold. When it idles in park or neutral it should sound a little higher than when it it idles in gear or drive or reverse.
Around 750 rpm with warm engine and in gear.Around 750 rpm with warm engine and in gear.

The idle speed control solenoid controls the idle of the engine when the air conditioning is engaged. Since the ac pump draws down the engine idle the solenoid increase the idle when the ac is on.
Do you mean the rpm's on the tach? The bike should not run down the road at idle. At idle, in gear it should jump forward and die. If not, the idle is too high.
That engine is computer controlled therefore the idle was preset / calibrated from the factory and there is NO adjustment. You need to have the engine scaned with an engine scanner to see what is making it Idle to fast. Check for vacuum leaks first.
On cold days, you should let the engine warm for a minute or two. Then, if you press the accelerator to the floor for just a second and then let it up. This is done really fast. Floor it and let it right up. The fast idle should release, and hopefully you won't get that kick any more. You may have to press the accelerator down more than once to get the idle to release. Hope this helps.
Look for a vacuum leak at the engine.
it"s just idle condition...the engine will be running > Usually to reverse the direction of rotation in a gearbox etc.
