Most likely it is the head gasket bad. If the exhaust has a sweet smell to it, that is anti freeze getting into the cylinder. It slows down because 1 or 2 of the cylinders are not firing.
because it can
white smoke is water. head gasket or ?
is this a diesel truck?does this engine have a turbo?if it is a diesel with a turbo,it will blow white smoke when cold till it warms upif it continues to blow smoke check your air filterother reason if it continues to blow smoke is the turbo is about to crater get it checkedalso check engine oil for coolant lossif coolant is leaking into cylanders, this will cause white smoke
Not directly, but it can crack or blow your head gasket. (Which will cause white smoke) Happened to me =(
It can.
a blow piston or a head gasket in your engine
the rings are probably bad and need replaced
All cars blow white smoke when they are cold especially on a cold morning .Worst case scenario if it blows excessive white smoke all the time is a blown head gasket
White smoke is usually a sign of water in combustion chamber-check oil for any signs of water in oil
needs overhaul rings ect.
White smoke will come out of a vehicle's exhaust system when the engine is cold. This is because of condensation build up in the engine and exhaust. The white smoke should go away after several minutes of idling. If you engine is always blowing white smoke, regardless of temperature, then it might be burning oil. Check the levels of your engine oil and your transmission fluid (if you have an automatic) and have the engine compression checked for blow-by.
you probably have a bad intake or head gasket
