You have a short in the wiring.
Just spray key wd-40, and work the key in the ignition.
If it blows when trying to crank, the starter has failed.
before trying to replace the ignition switch try spraying a small amount of lubricant into the keyhole and insert key and wiggle it in the switch to see if the keepers are stuck. if it works it could save a lot of time and money
My 92 Voyager is doing this exact same thing. The problem with mine is the ignition switch...apparently a common problem with these vehicles. Currently trying to install a remote starter.
currently, they are trying to make a new instrument out of the fact that you can play the song 'swan lake' by using glass blowing. go on to you tube and type in glass blowing and its really cool to watch.

I have researched ignition coils and found that they really are not that expensive. You can purchase them at a number of sites, but I suggest trying carjunky, Ebay or Amazon for your best deals.
