Torque begins as the piston is thrust down the bore on the power stroke. Stroke is the distance the crankpin is offset from the crankshaft centerline X2. The further the crankpin is from the crank centerline the more mechanical leverage granted to the piston. It is a simple lever really and acts as a torque multiplier hence greater net "twist" at the output

What is better an 80cc 2 stroke or a 49cc 4 stroke?

2 stroke, more power and torque = more speed 4 stroke, more reliable

Why two stroke engines are hi-speed engines and four stroke engines are hi-torque engines?

generally , two strokes are smaller capacity , shorter stroke, higher revs. for given engine capacity , long stroke /small bore = high torque / low revs short stroke/big bore = low torque / high revs

What is the difference between a two stroke dirtbike and a four stroke?

A 4-stroke will run quieter and cleaner. It will rev lower. For a given engine power it'll be heavier and bigger. For a given engine power it'll use less fuel. The engine will need more parts and be more complicated 4-strokes generally have better torque at low revs. A 2-stroke will run noisier and pollute more, It will rev higher, for a given engine power it'll be smaller and lighter. For a given engine power it'll use more fuel. The engine will consist of fewer parts, and be a simpler design. 2-strokes generally have less torque at low revs but do better at high revs.

What is better a two stroke snowmobile or a four stroke snowmobile?

4 stroke is better than 2 -more torque last longer that is why gm stoped making 2 stroke diesels

What is better a 302 of 305?

Simple. The 302 is better for longevity. The 302 is a faster engine. The 305 makes its peak torque at a very low RPM because of its longer stroke. This is off the top of my head, but the 305 is like a 3.7x/3.5x bore/stroke. The 302 is a 4.00 x 3.00 bore x stroke. Way bigger bore with a shorter stroke. 302 is a faster revving engine because of this, with pistons the size of a 350 Chevrolet. I have had both engines, but the 302 definitely tows better.

How much weight can a 80cc engine push?

There is not a direct answer to your question due to you are asking about engine size/displacement. The amount of "work" an engine can accomplish is related to the torque that is output from an engine. The amount of torque an 80cc engine can produce is also variable. For example, a screaming 2 stroke run at 12,000 rpm does not have much torque -- it relies on the engine momentum to do work. A 4 stroke 80cc engine would have more "torque" (but less horsepower) There is also a gearbox you have to include. A large reduction gearbox that turns slow for the high engine rpm could output hundreds of pounds of torque (foot pounds or pound feet) translating to pushing thousands of pounds.

Why initial pickup is better in two stroke engine as compare to four stroke engine?

The two stroke has more initial pickup because combustion happens every time the piston is at or near the top dead center. In the four stroke, combustion happens every other time the piston is at or near top dead center. <><><><><> Since the combustion cycle occurs every rotation, instead of every other rotation, there is twice as much torque available to the engine output.

What makes fast car wheels?

A short stroke Nissan engine with a high performance transmission. That makes a car's wheels fast. Or an engine with High torque.

Understand power ratings on snow blowers what does CC vs Torque Vs Horsepower mean?

CC (cubic centimeters) is the measure of volume inside the cylinder when the piston is at bottom dead center. The ratio of the diameter of the cylinder to the stroke of the piston influences the torque and horsepower ratings of an engine. Typically when an engine has a stroke that is larger than the diameter of the cylinder it would generate a higher ratio of torque to horsepower. The shorter stroke engines typically rev higher and develop higher horsepower to torque ratios.
