Why does my 2002 Dodge Intrepid overheat and the heater blows only cold air?

the air conditioner is separate from your cooling system. intrepids are prone to overheating, and i think it is because the radiator is too small to properly vent heat.
AnswerCooling system should also be bled of air by the bleed screw on the water outlet located on the top of the motor.Air pockets are common.Wiki User
