Manuel transmission? You need a new clutch.
will the transmission causes my 1999 ford expedition to bog down & sputter when accelerating the 4.6liter engine.
you have an issue with your transmission check to see if you have any transmission fluid leaking its either that or your engine over heated
You may have a broken engine or transmission mount.
Friction in the transmission system may cause whining noise when a car is accelerating. A poor engine or clutch assembly may cause the excess friction in the transmission system.
Check all front end components for wear. Then check the engine and transmission mounts as the engine could be shifting and causing the shake.
Depending on the speed you are going, yes it could really kill your transmission and your engine! But don't be afraid, your car is not suppose to allow your transmission to downshit if your going to fast for that gear.
possibly a transmission code from the ecm. i would have this checked soon. transmission damage possible.
If it's difficult to switch gears, if there's unnatural noises when switching gears, if the engine runs too high or too low when accelerating/decelerating ... list goes on ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Also when shifting if ur 3 gear pop is harder than usual you might have a problem. Transmissions are an easy fix if you do it yourself and its prolly not your transmission its either ur clutch gear teeth or your flywheel. Good luck
An acceleration noise from a BMW e46 engine could be caused by several things. Check the belts and pulleys to start with. Look over the engine for any spots that look like they are rubbing. Check for broken motor or transmission mounts.
The RPM rev up when driving because of the way your car's transmission works. Essentially, the transmission is responsible for sending power from the engine to the wheels. The transmission's job is to change the RPMs that the engine is sending, so that the wheels can turn at the correct speed. When you accelerate, the transmission increases the RPMs that the engine is sending to the wheels to provide more power. The faster you accelerate, the more the RPMs will increase. This is why you hear the RPM rev up when you are accelerating.
