Your Mazda MX3 might die when turning right and low on fuel because of a damaged or bent float in the fuel tank. It might also die because of clogged fuel injectors or a clogged fuel filter that becomes more obvious when fuel is low.
Lack of fuel.
shut of the fuel relay and crank until it starts, then it will die. reconnect relay and your good to go
Start with replacing the fuel filter.
First step check fuel pressure with gauge at rail. Boost may work when you turn key but pump may be out.
A friend had a Mazda Eunos with the ''Miller Cycle'' engine which would randomly die while driving (almost like somebody turned the key off). It turned out to be that there is a metal fuel filter in the fuel tank itself which was completely blocked with what looked like mud. From memory there is also a fuel filter in the engine bay somewhere, but when it was cut open and inspected it was nowhere near as bad.
Fuel filter front right under the car
If its making a horrible grinding noise, it could be the bearing!
timing could be off, or youre distribitor cap and rotor needs to be changed out, plugged fuel filter.
for me it was over heating(caused by a relay), then loss of coolant, and another reason was because of the fuel pump going bad
broken fuel pump/ fuel filter can cause car to die right after starting. If the fuel pump is not pumping fuel into the engine, the car will stall.
It might be a grounding problem. Your relay is getting too hot because something isn't grounded properly _______________________________________________________________________ You should also check fuel filter, you may not be getting enough fuel.
To release the pressure in your fuel lines (and fuel filter) you'll need to locate the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box. If you don't have a fuel pump fuse, find the relay that operates the fuel pump. Once you've found the fuel pump fuse or relay, start the car. With the engine running, pull the fuse or relay out. If you pulled the right one, the engine will quickly die. Since it's using all of the pressurized fuel in the system, the fuel lines won't be pressurized when you crack the fittings on your fuel filter. Now that you've relieved the fuel pressure you can remove the old fuel filter. If you didn't do this yet, you must go to the previous step and do it. Very dangerous! == ==
