The most likely cause is that your fuel pump is failing. I've found out (from personal experience) that the fuel pump and electronic sensor that reports to the fuel gauge are all in one fuel pump assembly. Unfortunately it's so heavily integrated into the pump assembly that it's not serviceable and usually requires that the whole assembly be replaced. To add insult to injury the pump is located in the fuel tank which has to be drained of all fuel before the straps are removed and the tank dropped. Many dealerships will charge you $800 or more to have this done if your vehicle is not under warranty. It's best you find the part yourself and have an inexpensive (but qualified) mechanic install it for you; especially if you are not confident enough to do it yourself. On the other hand, you could chose to ignore the light and simply refuel after so many hundred miles (like I did). It is most likely the problem will get worse as the pump will eventually have problems sending fuel to the engine. As a result it will crank you gas mileage down to about 9 - 10 miles a gallon. This problem almost left me stranded about 150 miles away from my home at one point. I'll end in saying that it is a common problem with the Chevy Trailblazer series between 2003 and 2005. Chevy knows about it but no recalls (or apologies) have ever been given. If I knew this before my purchase I would have never gotten the vehicle.
its either a fuel filter or if u mean when you brake and it shakes then it mean your rotor is in need of changing or get it sanded down till its all even
The floater inside your pump is sticking. You will have to replace your fuel pump in order to fix this problem.
There could be a few things that can cause this humming sound. It could be the wheel bearings rubbing, it could be the gears rubbing, it could even be coming from the engine pistons.?æ
Never mind....It was the blower resistor shorted on hi......
Try my web site at http://www.maintainyourcar.com You can find some info, even though its for a bike the principles still apply Thanks Adrian
I had the same problem on my 2002 Chevy trailblazer. I took it in to the dealeship and complained enough( b/c this problem happend when the car was still under warranty)and they fixed it even though it was out of warranty.
That's easy... it's all in your mind, the last Chevy prizm model year was 2002
There is no low fuel light. You can get almost even with the E red bar though, anything past and you'll find out what will happen.
fill all 5! tires to the proper pressure, even the spare will transmit and trip the light
That engine has 2 of them and there both underneith the intake manifold. You can't see are even get to them until you remove the intake.
The sensor may be defective/broken. I would have that checked or replaced.
If your oil light's on, you should have added oil a long time ago. Check your oil and see if it even registers on the dipstick.
