moon is too nearer to earth than stars
no stars are very bright and the mooon has no light of its own it reflects the light of the sun which is a star -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the person above (thank you) explained already, stars give off light itself. For example, the Sun has nuclear fusion that creates light. The moon, however, only reflects light from the Sun and cannot produce light on its own. Therefore stars are definitely brighter than the moon. But when you look up in the night, the moon would seem brighter. However, when you think of the distance-moon is close, stars are really, really, really, rea~lly far away-then you can see that stars are brighter than the moon. Thank you :) -Joanna
In terms of actual brightness the stars are much brighter than the moon and some are even brighter than the sun. They only appear dim because they are much farther away than either the sun or the moon.
The stars are in fact brighter than the moon as many distant stars produce their own light (just like our sun) and the moon only reflects sunlight. However, since many of these stars are so far away and the moon is relatively close to the Earth the Full moon appears to be brighter.
Because it's closer, like the moon
stars glow brighter than the moon
They are still there, but the brightness of the sun is far brighter and overwhelms the light from the stars. It is like when you see the moon during the day, it looks dimmer because the sky around it is brighter. This is the same effect on stars except the stars are far less bright than the moon and they essentially get lost in the brightness.
The sun appears bigger and brighter than other stars because it is much closer to Earth compared to the distant stars. Stars are actually suns, but they look tiny and faint because of their immense distance from us.
it isn't the sun is 450000 times brighter than the moon! no..
The moon appears brighter than most stars because it reflects sunlight much more efficiently, while stars emit their own light. Additionally, the moon is much closer to Earth than stars, making it appear larger and brighter in the night sky.
The Moon is much nearer than the nearest star. The Moon is much nearer than the nearest star. The Moon is much nearer than the nearest star. The Moon is much nearer than the nearest star.
Look up in the sky and you will see. Polaris is actually quite dim, compared to other stars and planets. Even at it's dimmest, Mars is brighter than Polaris.
The sun emits its own light. The moon only reflects light from the sun.
