How do you open your 2006 honda accord trunk when the emergency lock will not work and the remote doesn't open it?
how do i replace a trunk lock with another lock that has a key
is an idea only-try to remove the back seat and crowl in to the trunk and see if you can turn the lock manualy
TO GET INTO THE TRUNK OF A 89 MAXIMA YOU MUST TAKE THE BACK SEAT OUT AND CLIMB IN AN MANUALLY RELEASE THE LOCK.
use the key. put it in the lock. turn. congrats. you opened the trunk. If your trunk lock doesn't work which is common, the release is at the left side of the driver's seat on the floor right next to the gas door release. My trunk lock is hopelessly dead so I can only use the inside release
Have you tried the trunk lock button inside of the glove box? Greg
Lock works only with key now. Both dash and remote buttons stopped working. If trunk is open both work ok. But when closed, they stop. Pressure on lid or lock and lubing parts has no effect.
On my 1992 190E I can lock the trunk with any of the keyed locks. If you lock the doors, the trunk locks and if you lock the trunk, the doors lock. In other words all the keyed locks are electrically interconnected. In reality the locks are not electrically interconnected. There is a pump in the right side wheel well of the trunk, it uses vacuum to lock all the locks and pressure to unlock them. Although the pump is powered electrically, the locks are not.
Remove the rear seat to access the trunk and repair the lock assembly.
You have to open the trunk lid, under the lock on the inside you will find a screw, remove the screw and the lock retaining clip, pull the lock out. If you can not open the trunk lid, drill the lock center out, and you should be able to open with a screw driver.
* Remove the trunk lid latch * Detach the lock release box from the latch assembly * To detach the lock cylinder from the trunk lid pry off the retainer
drill the lock out
