Often the plug in connector at the drivers side switch can becaome loose and break the connection. Remove the switch and check this.
Maybe its your driver-side window regulator that stopped working.
There are several possible issues when the window on just one side stops working. The most likely is a bad switch. Other possibilities are that the window motor has gone out or that there is a problem with the wiring.
i had same problem with my 2003 Taurus on my driver's door. I got a new power window switch for $40. you should check your fuses first.
If it has stopped working, you bang it hard enough just above the speaker, it will start working again. I've had the same problem.
what is a window release?
It could be that the window motor has stopped working.
If the windows will not open using controls on either the driver or passenger side then most likely you have blown a fuse. The owners handbook will tell you where the fuse panel is and which fuse controls the electric windows. If it is a fuse, and you replace it, it may blow again indicating a short in the wiring. If all the windows stopped working at the same time check your fuses. If not it maybe the window regulator and / or motor inside the door panel
the switch in the drives side door is probably bad, it can control all the windows and locks the two back ones
My wiper blades have stopped working and the window washer isn't spraying out.
You need to drill out the rivets and have a rivet tool to install a new window not to hard to do if you got the proper tools
Check for a blown fuse in the fuse box. The issue sounds like a loss of power. If the fuses are ok then check for a plug under the dash that has become disconnected of a wire has come out of.
you need either a switch or regulator
