If you mean crank pulley, the water pump has failed.
The water pump pulley is the pulley right above the crank pulley (the big pulley in the bottom of the engine.) Right above the water pump pulley should be the alternator pulley, which drives the alternator. I'm guessing the water pump is behind the WP pulley. == == == ==
The thermostat housing on a Chrysler 302.7 L engine can be removed by loosening the 3 housing bolts. Remove the water hose and the housing will come off. Reverse the process to replace with a new housing.
Water outlet housing.Water outlet housing.
Passenger side, front, lowest pulley.
The coolant will run out of the timing cover from behind the crank pulley.
This depends on which engine your wrangler has in it as to exact location and type. On the 2.5L 4-cyl, 4.0L & 4.2L 6-cyl it is on the front center of the engine behind and attached to the pulley directly above the bottom pulley (Cranshaft pulley). On the 2.4L 4-cyl it is above the bottom center pulley (Crankshaft pulley) and a little to the driver side front of the engine. As a general rule, find your "bottom" radiator hose and follow it to the engine. In most cases it attaches directly to the water pump.
The water outlet is the plastic housing on the top of the engine that the radiator hose attaches to.
On a 3.3l the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt. On a 3.0l the water pump is driven by the timing belt.
Not sure on a '94, but on a '90 w/ a 1.6 you just remove the pulley bolts on the water pump, take off the pulley and belt, remove the thermostat housing on the side of the water pump, and then remove the water pump bolts. After that you can take off the water pump.
If you follow the lower radiator hose to the engine, you will find a plastic housing behind the alternator. The water pump weep hole is next to the lower bolt for that housing. By the way that housing is where the thermostat is located.
It is the two wire sensor next to the thermostat housing.
at the rear of the motor on the passenger side. You wont see the water pump unless you take off the timing belt cover, and it will probably be the 2nd pulley from the bottom offset to the left of the crankshaft pulley.
