You may have a vacuum leak. Check to see if you need to replace the gasket between the intake manifold and the head. With the engine running, spray short bursts of starter fluid at points around the head/manifold gasket. If the engine starts running much better when you hit one of those spots you probably have a vacuum leak there. Be very careful with starter fluid. It is extremely flamable and if you don't use very short bursts you can cause a fire. If you don't have a vacuum leak, check to see if the injector(s) have anything in them.
I blown head gasket can cause an engine miss which one cause a rough idle.
head gasket is gone
Generally when the head gets replaced you would also want to replace your plugs as well. It can sometimes be a result from where the water has traveled into the oil from a bad head. I replaced mine with bosch platinum 2 and haven't regretted it for 2 years.
The typical signs for a blown head gasket is white exhaust coming from the tailpipe, gradual coolant loss, rough idle, temp gauge may fluctuate a bit while driving.
mine has been doing the same thing and its either a head gasket or a cracked head im just replacing my motor
Do you mean the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system? If so the EGR valve is located on the backside of the cylinder head under the hood cowl. Common EGR symptoms are rough idling, stalling at idle, rough engine performance during light throttle application, and stalling during deceleration. Hope this helps
Bad/sticky thermostat.Cooling fan(s) malfunction.Bad head gasket.Cracked head.
Its idling rough because you probably have a blown head-gasket and lost compression at two cylinders you need to remove all spark plugs and check each cylinders compression.
hard to say but if it runs rough & this is related you may have a leaking intake manifold or head gasket causing vacuum loss (reason for rough idle) & leaking out the antifreeze - both are expensive to repair
Dean Smith was replaced in 1997 by his assistant of 30 years, Bill Guthridge.
If your referring to the engine block, the motor has to be replaced. If your refering to a cracked head, the head has to be replaced. Contact a service technician you can trust. a cracked block cannot be repaired. The only option is to replace the engine.
The UK does not have a president. The head of state in 1997 was Elizabeth II and the head of government was John Major followed by Tony Blair after the 1997 general election.
