Radiator may be plugged or restricted and need boiling out or replacing
how do u find and replace a 92 acura legend thermostat
I changed the water pump and head gaskets and thermostat. Still overheated. I just took the thermostat out and it's running fine. Who knows!!
The way to replace the thermostat on a 91 Acura Legend Coupe is to drain the radiator and remove the throttle and cable box. Remove the top of the radiator hose and the bolts. The thermostat will be inside.
trace the lower radiator hose to the engine, that's where the thermostat located.
thermostat help fan come on when the car is runnning, keep the engine from over heating
You should use a thermostat gasket along with the thermostat housing ring. The gasket should be replaced every time the thermostat housing is opened.
The thermostat is located under the throttle assembly. It is at the top end of the LOWER radiator hose. Gotta leave it to the Japanese, who would have thought to put a thermostat there?
its 2009 you punk, why dont you buy something newer...you better of replacing yourself.
Yes
thermostat is not opening.
The thermostat is located just below the htrottle linkage at the throttle body. Follow lower radiator hose to engine. It is in the housing at the end of hose.
The most common cause of overheating is a thermostat stuck in the closed position. However, other causes are: faulty water pump, clogged radiator, clogged hose(s), coolant leak or a broken drive belt. I had a 1987 legend with around 160K that was overheating. Antifreeze would boil out of the overflow. I changed my radiator and it fixed the problem.
