in dash lights
I have the same problem when I first turn on the ignition there are no dash lights and it will start and die like yours. If I turn the switch on and off or just turn it on and wait, eventually I get dash lights and starts fine. There must be a relay or connection point causing this problem - anyone know where these are? Chuck Walp@juno.com
Most dash lights have a setting knob to turn the dash lights on and off and to dim them, maybe this switch is off.
I have same problem in 02 Alero.
you pooh on it you pooh on it
The GMC dash tail and parking lights are on a different fuse from the brake lights. Check the fuses for a possible blown fuse.
also have to add i dont know if something is drawing the juice overnight my buddy said it may be a bad ground but idk i put a portable jump starter on it in the morning and it starts fine just the battery is being drawn down overnight by something
The dash illumination dimmer switch is shut off or broken.
take the car to an auto electrition
Your dashboard lights suddenly not working is almost always your indication that your taillights are out. If the fuse for your taillights is blown and you replace it, your dash lights should be fine.
Assuming the bulbs are good, the dash illumination light brightness control switch is turned off or broken.
If your 92 Toyota Corolla taillights are out, but the dash light and fuse work fine, the bulbs could have burn out. Replace bulbs on each side.
