Why does your Nissan altima gxe 1993 feel like it wants to stall?
I am currently going thru the same thing. It is either the throttle plate or the recall that during engine movement causes the throttle-cable housing to pull out of its guide.
The Nissan Stanza was replaced by the Altima, itself called the Stanza Altima when the new model released in 1993. Name swapping is not uncommon in the auto industry. Figure that Nissan wanted to erase the name of a model that didn't compete as well as vehicles from Toyota and Honda. Today's Altima competes with the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord and is an excellent seller in the midsize sedan segment.
Why would a Nissan altima have a bad vibration from the engine when cold but when warm it is fine This is a 1993 altima and has had a recent tune-up?
Answer It doesn't have a PCV valve. Actually it does. The PCV valve for a 1993 Nissan Altima is located behind the engine below the intake. Buy a Haynes manual, the PCV is VERY tough to get too but it can be done. You can only get two bolts from the top but have to go from underneath the car to detach the hose.
http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/general-nissan-altima-discussion-1993-2001/260207-how-change-headlight-bulb-96-nissan-altima.html Copy and past that into your web browser. Its for a 1996 but it should be close. I know the bulb is different so look up what bulb you will need. Other then that the steps should be really close.
