My 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan began doing this and it is because the battery has a low charge, could be due to old battery, or even bad alternator. The quickest and easiest fix is to charge the battery and then wait and see if it happens again after. If it happens then you should have it looked at by a professional
Usually when the battery light comes on its the Alternator, or a bad wire from Alternator to battery, but id check Alternator first.
Do you mean What does it mean when the brake and battery lights come on in when it is already started? Check your alternator may be its not working well it cause the battery sign comes out.
It could be all manner of things. Your truck will give you a code by way of blinking lights in the dash. You jump e1 to te1 in the diagnostics port. You will have a series of blinking lights with a pause between numbers. Example-blinks once then blinks 7 times right after that its a Code 17 look it up in an fsm it will tell you what the code means.
the word caravan comes from the Persia country and the language it comes from is the Persian language.
A low battery can cause the electrical system to flash check engine lights
ONE thing that will do this is disconnect the battery , then reconnect the battery but if the check engine light comes back on then take the veh to the garage for more diagnosing of the systems
If there is power lost, lights that dim and a battery light that comes on there is most likely a connection that is loose somewhere. It would be best to check the alternator or battery cables.
Bad or dirty engine to body or battery to body earth wire (my choice). Or faulty battery lamp wiring. Clean all ground wires that you can find.
I currently have the same thing and it is a defective battery (the one on the nearside). After a couple of miles it had charged up enough for the lights to go out but I will be buying a new battery tomorrow.
Can be a dead battery, defective starter, loose or corroded battery connection, or blown main fuse. If nothing comes on when you turn on the ignition switch and your interior lights are not working it is not the starter.
Could be acouple of things... first check battery, the battery post can become dirty and what not with corrosen, even if you dont see any it could still be dirty, even if the dome light comes on and lights work it might still be dirty (I should know, my Caravan and Spirit has done this) if it is clean then could be the Starter Relay.
93 dodge caravan starter changedisconnect battery, then underneath at the front mount disconnect wires if possible, if not, remove after removing starter. three bolts and starter comes out. one bolt is slightly hidden. opposite to install.
