Why doesn't the heater in your 98 Chevy 1 ton work you put in a new heater core and the coolant is clean The overfill tank won't hold any fluid though Please respond before it gets too cold thnx?
do the heater hoses get warm? please advise. Justin25taylor@yahoo.cm
Can you place an object before the verb I will respond to the points that you mentioned later. -and- I will respond to the points that was mentioned by you later. And explain please?
Most likely answer is a stuck thermostat. Autozone and Pep Boys carry this item at reasonable price. I suggest removing coolant before attempting this as a D.I.Y. Please be responsible with any collected coolant. Ask your local garage if they accept used coolant. Do not re-use old coolant. Potentially, whatever caused the problem (sludge) may still be floating in the old coolant.
Do you believe tennis players were better in the past or present. Explain why. Respond ASAP...please and than you?
Do you have to drain the engine coolant before replacing a water pump on a 96 cav 2.2 I mean is the coolant going to pore out after I take the pump off?
You will have to drain part of the coolant. Try to drain as little as possible and fill up before restarting the engine. No, the thermostat is usually at the top of the engine block (placed between the top input hose and the block). If, however, the radiator is full of coolant, there will be some spillage. Also, make sure the coolant has cooled down before replacement, and do periodically replace the coolant as needed.
I just did mine. Look it up on google to find the correct location as you may have a diferent engine than me. Once you find it take the coolant pipe off and wait till the antifreeze has drained out then unscrew where the pipe conects to and it should be in there. I found the correct location by following the water pipe. Please make sure the coolant is cold before you do this also…
If coolant needs to be added and the owner does not know what kind is already in the engine, it should be drained and flushed before adding any new. Most coolants are appropriate, but it is not recommended to mix brands or types. Use a coolant safe for aluminum blocks or buy Yamaha brand coolant specifically for your model. The coolant should be premixed 50/50 or if it is not premixed, mix it 60% coolant…
My 1999 Ford Mustang GT coolant sensor light is on and coolant is full. Is the sensor replaceable or do I need to replace entire coolant reservoir?
normally you would run the engine until the thermostat opens and add antifreeze as necessary when this occurs. Once the thermostat opens up at usually 195 degrees, the coolant will disperse any air in the system. You have to monitor the temperature of the system and be careful you do not get burned with hot steam while doing this. I have done this many times as a mechanic. You run the engine with the radiator…
You have coolant in your 86 GT but seem to get no heat the passenger floor is wet with coolant and the heater core has been replaced by the owner before you?
How do you know if the exhaust is getting in the coolant When you have the radiator cap off before the car warms up there are lots of bubbles?
Is there a Pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of time change hero's moves action replay codes Please respond?
The coolant goes into the expansion tank. If you open the bonnet and look to the back/left as you're looking at it, you'll see a plastic bottle with a screw top lid. DO NOT open the bottle if the engine has been running as it will be under pressure and could eject boiling water under pressure and you risk being scalded. Make sure the engine is cold before you open this bottle. The coolant goes…
If you follow the upper radiator hose, you will find the thermostat housing, the thermostat is inside this. Please ignore the idiot who replied to this question earlier, he obviously has no idea what a thermostat is. The thermostat stays closed until the coolant inside the engine reaches what temperature the tstat is, at which point it opens and allows coolant to flow through the hoses and the radiator to cool it before returning to…
What is wrong if the cooling fan comes on when the coolant sensor is unplugged but when it is plugged in the fan and AC will not work?
For Saturnguy you are hoping that the thermostat change-out for a 93 Saturn is the same as for the 92 Saturn - if so do you need to drain the coolant before changing it out?
HINT: PRINT THIS PAGE AND TAKE OUT TO CAR! Simplest way to do it is: Fisrt drain all the coolant by undoing bottom hose if it's old. If it's nearly 12 mths or more it's old! If coolant is fresh you are going to lose some by just going to the next step. Undo the two nuts holding the thermostat cover on, remove cover and engine lifting eye. Remove thermostat from inside the opening.(Observing which…
Coolant enters the water pump from the lower radiator hose. The water pump pumps coolant into both sides of the engine block towards the rear of the block. Coolant then flows up into the cylinder heads and flows toward the front of the heads before crossing over into the intake manifold and up to the thermostat. Coolant then flows through the thermostat into the upper radiator hose back into the radiator.
