Mainly because Australia has managed it's Immigration policy extremely well and only allowed in people who are needed and actually will benefit the economy. The countries you've mentioned in Europe have been run for too long by spineless liberals who just let any unskilled foreigner in who wants to come, with no skills, they just take unskilled jobs that local unskilled people could do, so as a result tensions build and these foreingers form ghettos and generally cause trouble. In Europe, most immigrant communities are not assimilated, there is no encouragement of that.
This is particularly true in the UK where immigration has got completely out of hand and it has had detrimental effects on the economy, standard of living and crime rates. Europe is too preoccupied with political correctness to think with common sense.
