Check the wiring to the coil. Make sure it's not broken somewhere. Also make sure the terminals in the plug itself are ok. An injector may cause that misfire also. Too bad it can't be one of the easier cylinders. Those #4 and #8 are a pain.
9/26/06 Never heard of that but I do know for a fact that year and motor had a problem with the head and gaskets letting coolant into cylinder wall causing misfire could also be seizing your plug and breaking during removal hope this helps you
Yes someone did get lost on the Lewis and Clark expedition.
Need more information (such as engine size) to tell you why. Experience is anyone of them can misfire but Fords of that vintage sometimes have problems with cooling leaks on that hole from heater hose I had exact same problem on my '99. Leak on #4 plug caused damage to the coil. Changed hose and coil. Coil very easy to replace. My brothers 98 F150 had the same problem, had to change the intake gaskets. All four corners of the intake was leaking. Took about 4 hours to repair. His was a 4.6 motor.
No. He was in charge of the expedition.
change the fuel pressure regulator ,i had the same problem on my silverado 2000. that fixed the misfire.
I don't think anyone helped him but he did have other travelers with him sometimes
