Because every one is a fool! Im totally asking the exact same question mate. I don't know where ur from but im from Australia and we are doing a tiny, no actually miniscule amount to what we should be doing, for petes sake, we are the bloody fools that have the hole in the ozone layer right above us. It was the English colonising Australia and ruining it all and the amount of back burning and bush fires that were created in a short 200 years not to mention all the coal mining and black energy making. Yeah sure we are starting to have a "lights off" night when everyone turns their lights off at a certain time for all night, but seriously....think about it... How many other electrical appliances have we got in the house that are creating greenhouse gases without even being swicthed on? Just being plugged into the wall is bad enough! AAARRRGGG! Sorry very passionate about this subject. I think that the problem with this world is the lack of sight, people see what they want to see, people hear what they want to hear. The majority of the world that reckons gobal warming might happen in the future are absurd! Its happening right now, in front of our eyes. Already the weather is starting to screw up! Just look at Australia... we are in a mass drought with insane water restricions. My state has less than 20% water in the resivoirs, look at the US They are getting rain, blizzards and storms more than ever. Hurricanre Katrina was the first ever recorded hurricane to hit Brazil. Like COME ON! If the world cant see it there is something drastically wrong. A Green car should have already been invented by now, it should have been done in the 80's and if it wasnt for the government with lack of funding and the "lets run away because we are afraid of technology and so are the people" attitude we could have really helped stop this kaos. The worlds drowning, come drown with me. :o(Anyway. If u would like to talk more on this subject u can message me at www.myspace.com/wahbeagle I got a blog on global warming. If ya add me, send me a message first. Ok. Catch!
Global warming refers to the long term increase of the earths temperature. It is directly linked to climate change but is not an interchangeable term for it.
1. How long will it stays? 2. How can we be able to succeed over global warming? 3. What can we do to stop it totally?
The American Policy Center (APC) say this because they are global warming skeptics. They believe that global warming is not happening.
Global warming is long term changes - increases - in the global temperature. The increases in the global temperature are being caused by the accelerated greenhouse effect. That is, more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (methane, but largely carbon dioxide from our burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas) capture more of the sun's heat and warm the atmosphere. This extra warming is global warming.
If global warming continues, not that long from now.
1 day...
Implementing sustainable water management practices such as rainwater harvesting, building infrastructure for water storage and irrigation, promoting drought-resistant crops, and providing education and support to farmers on sustainable agricultural practices can help mitigate the impact of drought in Africa in the long term. Additionally, addressing issues of deforestation and climate change can also contribute to long-term solutions for drought.
We know now that global warming started in the Industrial Revolution, more than 200 years ago, when we discovered and started to burn fossil fuels, which released carbon dioxide (CO2). This is one of the greenhouse gases that are causing global warming.
Since the middle of the 20th Century and earlier.
Global Warming, that is the warming of the earth since the beginning of the Industrial Age, began when man discovered fossil fuels some 250 years ago. There were commercial coal mines in the US state of Virginia in 1740.
Global Warming or Pollution
Global Warming and they take a long time to grow back
