i have a 2004 mondeo, that found it dead hard to start, especially on cold mornings, and had a hard time building up any power at all. All i did was change the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter and she back running grand, if that doesnt work and the car has a turbo, listen for a whine when the engine is running, this usually means the turbo is going or check the turbo pipe for an air leak.
