All of ancient Israel's history, the history that Jews celebrate as the history of God's people, happened in the same place that Jesus lived and died. This place is modern-day Israel. Therefore, the region is seen as holy by both religions.

Well, more than three religions began in the Arab world, but the largest- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - all began there. Less will known religions, such as Baha'i and Zoroastrainism also started there.

All of those religions had their founding in the Middle East. Judaism was developed in Israel and Babylon, Christianity was developed in Israel and Anatolia, and Islam was developed in Arabia.
