From everything I can understand - the Muslim Arab Sudanese of the North are trying to rid Sudan of (or take-over and convert by force) all the Southern African Sudanese - many of whom are Christian (Catholic and other) or animist.

∙ 13y agoThe war in Darfur was to do with lack of resources. This was caused by drought and desertification (when land turns into desert). Obviously this means there was less land and less water. Therefore a war started over a fight for resources. Some people describe this as the first climate change war. The reason being that drought and desertification were the main reasons for the war and they were caused by global warming.
