My 1995 Buick regal (3.8) has developed a problem when started. The oil level monitoring warning light stays on after the engine is running. I can shut off the motor and do a restart and the light will stay off,but every time the vehicle sits for any period of time with the motor off I go thru the same process again (light on at start up/turn off and restart and the light stays off)The oil level is up to par and the filter is clean and new. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Faulty oil pressure switch would be my guess, same thing with my Previa. Replace the cheap switch and see if it is a more expensive problem.
The brake warning light comes on in your dash if the emergency brake is on or the brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW
If you mean the warning light just to the left of your engine temperature gauge that means that the engine coolant level in the coolant reservoir is low
Put some oil in the engine. This warning light means your oil level is low.
check the brake fluid level in your master cylinder under the hood. The light comes on for two reasons, either the hand brake is on or your brake fluid level is low
play games, do quests, chat, and staying in city or in anywhere(only staying...)
Check your brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment when it is low your brake warning light will come on
Use dipstick as a guide. Fill to proper level when engine off after it has settled/drained back to the pan.
Low fluid level or defective master cylinder.
The red " BRAKE " warning light in your dash comes on if the emergency brake / parking brake is on , or if the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in the brake master cylinder ( located in your engine compartment , near the firewall , on the drivers side of the engine compartment ) IS LOW
No, the check engine light has nothing to do with the oil level in the vehicle. The check engine light will come on when there is a problem with the emission system. The red oil warning light will come on if your vehicle is low on oil.
If the parking brake / emergency brake is on , or if the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL in your brake master cylinder in the engine compartment is LOW , and probably before you start the engine when you turn your ignition key to the RUN position just to make sure the bulb for the warning light works
Your engine oil could be low check it when it cools and if level is fine your oil pressure sending unit could be bad or engine in need of rebuilding
LOW ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL WARNING LAMP (page 68 MB Owner's Manual)The warning lamp comes on with the key in steering lock position 2 and should go out when the engine is running. If it comes on with the engine running, the coolant has dropped below the required level. If no leaks are noticeable and the engine temperature does not increase, continue todrive to the nearest service station and have the coolant added to the coolant system.(see page 77, MB Owner's Manual)Hope this answers your question !Roodeschool.
Check your coolent level! Yours is low and the on/off heat gives you a warning that your going to run out of coolent and trash your engine.
The reservoir has two level lines - one for "cold engine" and the other for "hot engine". If the engine is hot, and the coolant level is low, fill the reservoir to the "hot engine" level. When the engine is cold and the level is low, I usually" top off" the radiator and fill the reservoir to the "cold engine" level.
Low oil pressure due to extremely low oil level, bad oil pump, excessive engine wear
Unless you have the triple information display on your vectra there is no warning light indicating low coolant apart from the engine temperature gauge.
Either your emergency / parking brake is on or your brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is LOW
Either the parking / emergency brake is on or the brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder in your engine compartment is too low
Either the brake fluid level is LOW in the brake master cylinder located in your engine compartment , or the parking brake / emergency brake is on
Any number of things: * emission systems failure or problem * low water level or pressure * low oil pressure or level * electrical problems Basically, it is a warning to the driver that something is awry and needs attention. To not heed this warning lamp is inviting additional problems and a bigger repair bill.
A tornado warning is a higher level of alert, often meaning that a tornado has formed.
That light is a warning that your engine coolant is low. Check your expansion tank for the proper level and fill as necessary.
If the " BRAKE " warning light comes on in your dash either the BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IS LOW in the brake fluid reservoir located in the engine compartment of your 1995 Ford Mustang or the parking / emergency brake is engaged
