A yellowish or off cream color is not uncommon. Combustion gases can combine with oil and create this often foamy or film type residue. Small amounts are nothing much to worry about but spoonfuls of it may be an indicator of excessive engine wear. The best prevention is regular oil and filter changes, 3000 or 3 months for heavy usage. Never more that 6000 mile or 6 months normal usage.
