A block heater typically uses around 400-1500 watts. To determine the exact wattage for your specific block heater, you need to check the user manual or the label on the block heater itself. On a 15 amp circuit, the maximum wattage that can be safely used is 1800 watts.

Where is the turn signal flasher located on a 2002 ford excursion?
Asked by Wiki User
Flasher relay is located right above the OBD port. This relay has a dual functions all in one relay. It controls the emergency flashers and the turn signals as well. It's a very complex relay because it actually has a micro chip inside of it!!! That's pretty complex for a simple relay if you ask me. So turn on the signals or flashers hopefully one function still works because yes one function can be inoperative and other work fine. You should hear it clicking behind the dash a little right of the instrument cluster. You can get to it from under the dash just be careful because their are 2 relays right next to each other and the one you want is the BLUE one. NOT the black one. If you opt to do it up to the dash and radio will have to be removed to gain complete access.
Where do you find the block heater on a ford F 350?
Asked by Wiki User
The block heater connection is on the passenger side of the block, just above the freeze plugs, you will need the cable that runs out to the grill/bumper. Every newer diesel has this heater just some were not equipped with the cable, it is an option.
Hope this helps.
