A blast of carbon dioxide is used to check whether a tube or tubes are open. The technician can tell by the degree of backpressure whether one, both, or none of the tubes are open or blocked.
If the tubes are both blocked, no carbon dioxide will get through to the abdominal cavity. If one or both tubes are open, the carbon dioxide will enter the abdominal cavity, and when you sit up, it will cause pressure on the diaphragm (the muscle below the lungs that makes the lungs fill and empty), which causes a stab of Back pain.
Carbon dioxide is used because it is quickly and harmlessly absorbed by the body tissues.
yes after laparoscopic tubal ligation neck pain common
Tubal ligation is a surgery performed to prevent any future pregnancies. The pain that you are feeling from the gas is the carbon dioxide that is used for the surgeon to visualize the tubes. To ease the pain caused by the gas rest, drink plenty of fluids, and take the pain medication as prescribed.
i have my tubes clapped 7 years ago an during my cycle i get this pain my right ovary an it litterly feels like labor pains at times i cant move because it hurts so bad
There has been alot of discussion relating to side effects regarding tubal ligation. One body of evidence suggests that it is not uncommon for women to have oestrogen dominance thus contributing to PCOS syndrome and symptoms such as acne, irregular periods, pain etc
i would wait about 2 weeks, but your body should be able to tell you,if you feel good an have no pain then, you should be able to drive.
Mini-laparotomy results in a higher incidence of pain, bleeding, bladder injury, and infection compared with laparoscopy.
Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome or maybe Adenomyosis
You may have a tubal pregnancy. It is possible because my mom had one ten years after her tubal ligation. You should go to the emergency room. If your tube ruptures, you could bleed to death.
i was 26 when i had my tubal ligation, and i was in a lot of pain for about the first week. i had to take pain pills. i would say total was about two weeks until it did not hurt anymore. i did not do any strenuous activity so i was good.
Funny you should ask because I am asking the same. I am being sent to a general surgeon to have it removed. It is the cause of pain I have had for years.
it:s illegal unless done in a licensed hospital! it:s a form of sterilization, hardly a (Take a walk around the Block) thing like band aids or suture removal, which can be done ( over the counter) with a minimum of pain and discomfort.
You should check with your OB/GYN on this - there are too many possibilities from completely minor to more serious for anyone to try to guess what it could be.
