The water pump on a 94 Acura Integra is located on the front of the engine. It uses the power of the engine to circulate hot water from the engine to the radiator to cool it.
If it is leaking water, it is bad.
behind the timing belt cover
The water pump on a 1994 Acura Integra is replaced by removing the engine accessories, pulling the radiator hoses, and taking out the retaining bolts. The pump can then be pulled from the engine block, the surface cleaned, and a new pump put in case.
the water pump belt is your timing belt under the timing belt cover
A 50/50 mixture of water and coolant/antifreeze is highly recommended to avoid freezing and/or rusting within the radiator.
Same frequency as the timing belt, every 70-80K miles.
remove your timing belt covers and the timing belt it is located above the crankshaft closer to the firewall before and below the alternator
Running hot can be caused by several things. A bad water pump, stuck thermostat or cooling fan not working are the most common causes,
it should be on the top passenger side of the motor above the tranny its stubby looking you may have to reach under the main water hose.
Directly below the intake camshaft. Its near the drivers side engine mount. Its a good idea to replace the timing belt and tensionor at the same time as the water pump.
I had the same thing happen on my '87. It started after the windshield was replaced & something wasn't done right there that let water in at the bottom of it.
