Usually this indicates a super-rich fuel condition. If it makes a lot of black smoke when it starts that would also be a good indicator. Common causes of a super-rich condition at startup would be low coolant level; leaking fuel injector; leaking fuel pressure regulator; faulty or disconnected MAP MAF or ECT sensor. Any super-rich fuel mixture problem should be corrected ASAP as it can cause oil to become diluted with fuel and lead to major engine damage.
You could also have a problem of worn spark plugs, oil or coolant fouled spark plugs, or a minor timing problem. Do you also have a running problem such as misfire while accelerating or check engine light on or flashing? If ignored this can lead to damage of catalytic converters.
If you don't really have to hold the accelerator to the floor, but just press it slightly, consider a stuck IAC. If IAC is found to be At Fault, clean the throttle body when replacing IAC.
Driver's side floor. With the start switch turned on (not running) and the display showing the oil life reading, press the accelerator to the floor and hold. To the best of my memory, this resets the reading.
Let it set for about 2 hours or push the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold it there while turning the engine over. Rarely do fuel injected engines flood. If they do then something is wrong with the firing system.
AnswerDepending on year, try turning key to "on" position without starting vehicle and push accelerator to the floor 6 timesIf that doesn't work;With the key off, push and hold in the odometer button, depress the break pedal 10 times then release the odometer button.Problem solved....
I was having problems starting my '89 Wrangler. Mechanic told me it has a choke: press the gas pedal to the floor 2x, then halfway and hold and start. Works for me everytime :-)
Hey, have you tried a "forced flood?" For this you just need to hold the accelerator to the floor and turn the ignition. My brother did this to my 2001 this past summer.
There are 4 mounting bolds that hold the seat to the floor. Remove them. Pay attention to any wiring attach to the seat.
While Starting (in Neutral) - Hold Accelerator down for 7 seconds.Then Release the Ignition, then the Clutch and then the Accelerator.Then try to start normally. {Be prepared to need a jump to start.}
Nope. Always lift the accelerator, Shift and then lower it again as you release the clutch.
feel* run run run! or hide under the table I just learned this in school? Drop cover and hold? But i think you should run outside and then drop cover and hold! if your not in the first floor of a building then drop cover and hold and do not use elevators
Hold the Brake and floor the gas -_-
mazda 2000 1986 have to hold key to on to keep running when starting
The answer would be to hold the things you put on it without damage to the item or the floor.
