Your AC might be blowing out of dash vents on the windscreen as you might have turned the knob to that particular mode. It is also possible that the vent mechanism might be out of order or broken.

I have the same problem, and looking for answers. Please help!
You may need to have your AC charged
The diverter door is not operating properly. Most diverters operate on a vacuum system. Check the engine and under the dash for vacuum leaks.
55 degrees to 60 degrees
the middle vents only supply air from the ac unit using a separate in dash fan. the floor and defrost vents come only from the heater
AC VENTS are in the correct position if they are open and free flowing. Some systems have a heat and an AC position for the vents. The AC position is so the cool air discharges from the vents higher on the walls or from the dash rather than floor or windshield in a car.

The most likely cause is the hoses to the center vents coming loose. Feel under the dash to see if cold air is blowing, and look to see if you can see the back of the vents to insure the hoses are connected.
== == There are three electronic actuators under the dash: one is for the defroser, one is for the bank of four passenger vents and one ( this is you) sends air to the two driver side vents, the two mid-dash vents and the two rear vents. Either this actuator is faulty, or there's a problem with the electrical delivery system; mainly, the whole climate control panel in your dash (dealer cost: about $700.00).
When there is a problem in the vent system it defaults to defrost setting. Check the doors & vac supply
