Many vehicles use engine vacuum to operate the HVAC functions. If the vacuum supply is cut off for whatever reason the HVAC system defaults to the defrost mode only. Look for a disconnected, cracked or pinched HVAC vacuum supply line under the hood.
Also, if the vehicle has a cabin filter that is plugged up you will get poor air circulation.
yes
When there is a problem in the vent system it defaults to defrost setting. Check the doors & vac supply
No power, no air! Simple
If central air conditioner turns on but is not blowing through the vents, check the filter. If it is dirty, change it. Change the thermostat into cool, this will defrost the air conditioner.
Check for a vacuum leak -sounds like it is starving for vacuum and reverts to the default position
Its your Heater core if it smells like a syrupy sweet smell if not then its your thermostat
2003 crown vic air conditioning vent dont blow
Sounds like vents are in open position where it passes through based on speed with or without fan on
this one is easy your switch the controls the vents is not working there is a flap the closes the defrost vents so that it goes through the other vents or there is a vacumn line that is controlled by the switch, and its leaking. The vacumn line is usually on the engine side of the firewall. It is a very small plastic tube comming out of the middle of the firewall at the top and it connects to a junction with other vacumn lines. See if any of them are disconnected.
Doors in the kick panels or heater box are not closing to redirect the air.
Jammed blend door or blockage in the ducts if you mean to say air isn't blowing through at all.
Without testing a guess would be a blend door or actuator or maybe a control problem
