Usually it's because the system is low on freon. But sometimes it can be an electrical problem. start with the basics are the fuses ok both inside the car and under the hood? The fastest thing to do would be to use a test light and see if you have power down at the compressor clutch. If you don't suspect low system charge. If you do then either the compressor and ac are working and you've got a different problem like with the blower motor. Or the clutch is trying to engage but slipping because it's worn out (or the compressor locked up). Hope this gives you someplace to start.
no a 2001 dodge neon motor will not work in a 2000 neon
No, The neon was revamped in 2003, with updated engines and chassis changes. As a Chrysler mechanic, the 2000 dodge neon 2.4L DOHC is the best. That will fit in a 2001 also.
Yes. A throttle position sensor will work even if it is mounted up side down on a 2.0 dodge neon.
How many doors each car has no bearing on what fuel pump is used. This is based upon the engine ... if the engines are identical in EVERY respect, then they might be compatible.
if you can get a copy of the Haynes repair manual, Dodge Neon 2000 thru 2003. Book #30036 it can help with the answer.
With the correct computer, wiring harness, mounts, attachments, etc.
If the car has recently had work on the engine or tranny, check the mounts for proper placement of the bolts. If not, it might be an alignment problem.
i would have to bet on the speed sensor
it doesn't work!!
try this one: Haynes repair manual, Dodge Neon 2000 thru 2003. Book #30036

Bad fuse or bad brake light switch.
my 2001 neon has a chip keywell iahev a 2001 dodge neon and mine does have a chip ignition. you would have to go to the dealer to get it made. If you did get a copy of the key made anywhere else it would only work to open the door it wouldn't work to start the car.
The neutral safety switch on the 1998 dodge neon is a non adjustable switch. You can adjust the shifting arms, if the shifter is far enough off, then the neutral may not work properly.
my 1996 noen did the same thing, mine was the solder on the back of insterment panel. this is the second neon that we fixed this way
The starter will quit engaging in the motor. Sometime if u bump the key it will work.
have u checked the fuse's or the switch? also make sure that it is on track.
If the Neon's are both the same year and have the same engine type then the PCM should swap out ok. If the engines are different then the PCM may not work properly.
Take it to your favorite garage and let a pro perform the work.
needle fish will certainly not work well with neon's, they will murder the neon's
Could be the switch on the transmisson...I forget the exact name of the switch
the ac does not work when I turn it to 1,2 or 3 it works only on 4
