ANSWER:
The reason the North won the American Civil War against the South was actually several reasons.
When the war began there was not one cannon factory in the South.
The North had the majority of industries and factories.
After the South left the United States, they formed their own government, wrote their own constitution, and printed their own money. These three areas would be complete failures, for they were not well organized, and the money wasn't worth the paper on which it was printed.
Not to take anything away from the Confederate soldiers, for they fought well. However, the Union soldiers were better in the end.
The North had better battle plans toward the end of the war, and by splitting troops up in certain areas was a plus in keeping one Confederate regiment from being able to join up with another Confederate regiment.
Union troops taking control of railroads in various places in the South, cut off supplies, arms, ammunition, and soldiers from reaching their destinations.

yes
It won most of the battles, but lost the war, chiefly through having a much smaller population from which to recruit armies.
The North won, the South lost.
Unless you are talking about Vietnam, the North Won! The Union, the north won, while the South confederacy lost
The North won and the South lost in both undeclared wars; US Civil War & Vietnam.
The north won.
The currency in South Korea is South Korean Won (KRW).
North
"The Union" means the North when writing about the Civil War. The South is the Confederacy or the Confederates, sometimes the rebels. The union is what was left of the United States after the southern states seceded.
The goal of the South was to exist as an independent nation, so if it didn't defeat the North, but simply got to exist as an independent country...it won. The goal of the North was to conquer the South. If it didn't conquer the South, then it did not accomplish it's goal...therefore it lost. This meaning applied to both the US Civil War & Vietnam War. The North WON in both wars. The South LOST in both wars.

There were seven wars, called war of the coalitions. Ex: War of the first caolition. France won 5 out of the 7 wars but ultimately lost the Napoleonic Wars. But 5 out of 7 wars isn't bad.
A won is the currency of South and North Korea.
