One of the main reasons for the UK's none involvement in the Vietnam War was their role in the Indonesia-Malaysia War which took place at the same time. Britain fought a war against Communist forces similar to that of the US against the Viet Mihn (except unlike the US, Britain won).
Britains relation's with the USA at the time were a bit strained following the Suez crisis, the Americans didnt back the brits during that conflict so why should Britain offer their assistance during Vietnam. Also there was a strong anti war feeling in the UK, it would have been political suicide to back the Vietnam war.
India was involved in war with Britain for independence. The first war of independence took place in 1857. India was involved in other wars with Britain afterwards.
Great Britain, or more correctly The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, was involved in both World War 1 and World War 2.

There were many country's e.g Germany, Italy, France, Britain ,Russia and America. When Britain joined the war they also involved their controlled country's such as Africa, India and Australia
Britain became involved in WWI because it was allied with Serbia, who was a country involved in the initial conflict of the assassination of the Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand. My version:This very complex issue comes down to one very simple central fact: Britain had entered into what are called mutual defense treaties with its Friends and neighbours. When Arch Duke Ferdinand was assassinated it was inevitable that these treaties would mean that Britain was dragged into the mess.
Great Britain did not send troops to Vietnam during the war.
The United States did get involved in the Vietnam war because of communism in Vietnam.
Britain wanted to maintain her strength in Europe, in case that got out of hand.
