Are you sure there is no spark? Check the relays inside the engine compartment the eec relay is the first to click when the key is turned then comes the fuel pump relay. These Ford relays are notorious for going bad in sequence. try listening or feeling for a click from the eec and fuel pump relays when the key is turned to on, if not then try swapping the ac relay with the eec relay or the fuel pump whichever one does not click and see if it helps
If you mean it won't crank then the starter is defective. If you mean it will crank but not start it isn't getting fuel, spark or compression.
Depends on the motor, 4cyl or V6, but it could be the ignition module, or the crank sensor
Possibly the crank sensor or the coil pack is dead. But with a dead crank sensor you also get no spark, no crank. No crank equals no fuel delivery.
The engine needs fuel, compression and spark the run. You are missing one of those.
Many other options. No fuel pressure, broken timing belt, computer malfunction, no spark,
0.042 to 0.046 inch
Assuming you are referring to an Expedition, your vehicle is turning over but will not start? It is possible forthere is no spark from the plugsno fuel is getting to the spark plugsIs the car turning over or is there a click a few times? If you have a click, click, click, then check your starter.
I have a 1997 gmc savana 1500 5.7 when i crank on motor it wont start when i stop cranking with the ignition in the on position it spits smoke out the intake and motor shakes.Any idea what this could be?
Bmw 528 1997 not start
Crank but not start and run, possible. Not to crank, start or run, no. No lights or horn, no.
A Ford Taurus and Contour are a couple. (1997 Taurus with the 3.0 liter engine & 2000 Contour with the 2.8 liter engine)
No spark? are you sure? then probably bad crank sensor, or ignition module.
