I just had the same problem .It was my starter if i hit it with a hammer it would start
Are you positive the battery is dead? Have you tried to jump start it? That clicking could be the starter relay.
Its because your battery is "dead" OR your battery terminals aren't making good connection to the battery post they may need tightening
Because you either have a dirty Battery cable or a lose battery cable connection or you may even have a battery that is nearly dead because of the other problems mentioned
The 1994 Jeep Wrangler that will not start and is having the auto shutdown relay clicking, is having a problem with the auto shutdown relay switch. The switch needs to be replaced because this is what is stopping the vehicle from starting.
could be bad cells in the battery, but my bmw ended up having a seized motor, starter was engaging and clicking because it couldnt turn the engine. try putting a socket on the engine crank pulley to see if engine will rotate
I just had the same thing happen with my Nissan. Your car died because your battery is bad. The clicking sound is also because your battery is bad most likely. It could be your starter, but always start with the cheap and easy fixes before moving on. If it's not you battery it is either you starter or your ignition.
The 2001 Nissan Altima GXE might make a clicking noise and then turn off because of a bad solenoid or bad starter. This sound could also be due to a weak battery.
It Is Because Your Battery Is Nearly Dead. It can deliver enough amperage to run the lights & radio, but not enough to turn over the engine. Batteries degrade over time and those older than 5-8 years become too weak. If jumping with a good battery you still get clicking & no start, then the starter motor is dead. If the car does start, drive to the nearest battery store and buy a new battery. You will get money back for the old one - they recycle the components.
Because the oil hasn't circulated properly once the oil reaches everywhere and everything is lubrictaed properly then the ticking/clicking stops
The reason it's clicking is because your battery is dead. Replace the battery and you're good to go. It just isn't providing enough juice to turn the starter over correctly.
Clicking your fingers refers to the action of snapping your fingers together to create a sharp sound. This is usually done by quickly bringing your thumb and another finger (usually the middle finger) together, causing friction and producing the clicking sound. It is often used to get someone's attention or as a form of expression or rhythm.
If you have a new starter with solenoid,do you still wire it to the firewall solenoid switch?Because wire is smoking on the switch and battery terminals. No rotation, just clicking.
