Two things. Either the switch is broken, Won't tell the transfer case to switch, or the vacuum pressure is too low (disconnected hose / or cracked). Put the vehicle in Neutral rev is up to about 2500 rpm's and press the 4 hi button if nothing happens its the switch. If it changes it's the vacuum pressure. (I must warn you... If it switch's it may not switch back or worse off it may switch to 4 lo and not switch back... if so let it sit for an hour or two and try again... )
Good new is both problems are kinda cheap to fix however the labor and know how is expensive on this one.
