you may need a new clutch or there may me some sort of sensor or switch that is bad
The problem may be with your starter and not with the clutch.
put it in neutral then try to start it.
probably because you need a new ignition switch or your cars computer is not receiving the information from the ignition switch that you already have. check your cars wiring diagram for more information.
Remove the transmission oil pan for access
This is something that is almost impossible. If this is happening on your Ford Escort you have some serious wiring problems.
Clutch plate or pressure plate fingers. New clutch.
Is your clutch pedal depressed? If it is, check switch on clutch pedal.
there is a travel limiter on the pedal. turn it the right way.
Could be a bad starter or starter solenoid
That's not a question. Try asking"Why won't my ford escort start?"
...because its a 95 Escort.
to start with when you push in on the clutch pedal you are disengaging it. Your description sounds like the clutch has clutched its last clutch What if it is not the clutch?
