I would take air cleaner off when engine is cold and then push the gas pedal to the floor twice and then look unto the carb. and make sure the choke plate on top of the carb. is closed. You should not be able to see into the carb if it is closed. If it is closed then take your finger and open it up and hold it open. take other hand and pump the gas throttle wile looking into the carb. you should see gas spray into carb. if not then the excelarator pump in carb is bad. You should also check the point gap (dwell) in the dist. Could have a bad coil. NEUTZ
