Why wont clutch disengage Replaced clutch on 92 240sx after trans swap and clutch will not disengage Cylinders are moving and fork is moving what else could it be?

It could possibly be your clutch pedal height. I had to fix the problem in my car, had the same thing happening. Go to your local shop or look up on the interweb and find out how to adjust the clutch pedal height.

Why Wont my clutch engage on 1999 Jeep Wrangler?

If the clutch won't engage, the clutch disc or pressure plate has probably broke apart. If the clutch won't disengage, the clutch hydraulic fluid reservoir is empty because of a leak in the system.

Why wont your Yamaha blaster go into gear?

A Yamaha Blaster not going into gear is typically a sign of an issue with the clutch. To troubleshoot, try to adjust the clutch at the lever. If this doesn't solve the problem, the shot clutch pack may need to be replaced.

Why wont my clutch lever work on your Yamaha blaster?

Well cable could be froze up. Replace the clutch cable. If cable is working adjust cable. If the clutch cable is adjusted then it's time for a new clutch

The clutch on my 1995 ford ranger wont release after i bled it the pedal moves fine but it doesn't engage the clutch so i cant take it out of gear?

Assuming you mean the clutch won't disengage and the system has been bled properly, the pressure plate may be damaged or the clutch disc is installed backwards (if the clutch was just replaced). Also, with some vehicles the clutch master cylinder has to be bench bled before installation.

How do you adjust the hydraulic clutch on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler?

There is no adjustment on a master/slave hydraulic clutch system. It is self adjusting every time you release the pedal, the hydraulic fluid is released back into the reservoir and pressured equalize, just like the brakes. However you can diagnose problems usually quite easily based on the symptoms. If the clutch pedal will not disengage the clutch, then the master or slave cylinders are bad. It could also be caused by low clutch hydraulic fluid, but the system does not consume fluid so if it is low then there is a leak, usually at the master or slave cylinders, so we are back to the first answer again. If the clutch will disengage but will not engage properly, (slipping) then the clutch disc is worn out. If you have to pump the pedal several times for it to work then their is likely air in the system that needs to be bled out, but this condition would lead to the next logical question, "how did air get in the system"? and would have to be answered, and would probably be due to low fluid, due to a leak, due to a bad master or slave. SO, you really have two choices. A bad master or slave or a worn out disc depending on if it wont engage or wont disengage. Forget about adjusting it because you can't!

86 subaru gl clutch won't disengage?

Why wont your 85 fiero change gears when its started?

Could be a bunch of stuff, but some of the earlier Fieros had an issue with the shaft connected to clutch pedal bending which would cause the clutch to not fully disengage. When your car's not running you can shift gears all day without pushing in the clutch. Try that when your fiero's running and all you'll do is chew gears.

Why wont your clutch work?

my clutch went to the floor what happened?

What do you do when clutch won't engage?

So to me, " wont engage" means that you release the clutch and the car doesnt move. The clutch " wont disengage" Means that you step on the clutch but you cant get it to go into gear because the clutch didnt work. So the first one, wont engage. The clutch is worn or the pressure plate is busted. You need to pull the transmission and get into it and replace what is bad. The second one. Could be the fluid level is low or has air in it. Try changing the fluid and bleeding the air out of it. When under the car check the metal rod that pushes on the clutch throw arm. It should be moving in and out. Occcasionally the seal breaks and fluid runs out. If not trouble shoot the issue until it does move in and out at least 25 to 30mm. If this is good and moving in and out OK then the throw out bearing, pressure plate or clutch inside the housing is bad. You gotta pull the transmission and look inside to fix it.

Why wont your 2003 Ford Ranger push start?

The manual transmission has a starter interlock which prevents the engine from cranking unless the clutch pedal is depressed
